A communication device performing communications by an OFDMA system. The communication device includes a zone-boosting-amount calculating unit that obtains a segment number calculated in a synchronization process, obtains a sub-channel corresponding to the segment number by referring to a predetermined relationship between sub-channels and segment numbers, and calculates an amount of zone boosting based on an average power of a preamble and an average power of pilot sub-carriers included in the sub-channel. A demodulating unit estimates a transmission path after correcting a power value of a received signal based on calculated amount of zone boosting, and performs demodulation.
