NEEDLE POINT PROTECTOR AND INDWELLING NEEDLE ASSEMBLY

A needle point protector which reliably protects a needle point with force as less as possible and stably maintains the needle point in the protected state. A needle point protector is configured in such a manner that deflectable sections (100, 102) are provided to a protector body (92) over which an acting ring (94) is mounted and that the deflectable sections (100, 102) are deflected and deformed when the acting ring (94) is moved to a predetermined position relative to the protector body (92).  When the deflectable sections are deflected and deformed, the point (18) of an inner needle (10) to which the protector body (92) is mounted is protected by protecting sections (130, 131) provided to the front ends of the deflectable sections.  The needle point protector is also provided with come-out prevention mechanisms (128, 142, 148) for preventing the acting ring (94) from coming out in the needle axis direction relative to the protector body (92).
