The device e.g. coffee machine (2), has a tap device (7) that is in flow connection with a liquid storage i.e. reservoir, and a conveyor device (65) for conveying liquid pumped from the liquid storage to the tap device. An anti-frost device (60) is provided for partially discharging an amount of liquid e.g. coffee, existing in a piping system (59), where the anti-frost device includes a gas source e.g. air source. The conveyor device is formed by a pump i.e. electrically operable pump. A piping section of the piping system is connected with the conveyor device. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a vehicle comprising a device for hot water- and/or steam-generation and/or preparation of liquid food (2) a method for operation of a device hot water- and/or steam-generation and/or preparation of liquid food.
