<p>The clutch has an inner ring (2) and a slotted expandable outer ring (4) that is arranged in a hub. Clamp rollers (6) are arranged between the rings, where the rollers are guided in double clamping ramps that are formed between the rings. Two balls (18, 20) and two wedges control expansion of the outer ring for prestressing the outer ring to a non-expandable shape, in which the outer ring does not rests at the hub by a flexible ring element (8) that is formed by a wire spring. The balls and the wedges are operated by a controllable control drive for controlled expansion of the outer ring.</p> |
