METHOD FOR PREDICTING PHARMACOLOGICAL EFFICACY OF ANTI-TNFa ANTIBODY PREPARATION ON RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS, AND PHARMACOLOGICAL EFFICACY PREDICTION APPARATUS

Disclosed is a method for predicting the pharmacological efficacy of an anti-TNFa antibody preparation on rheumatoid arthritis, which can predict the effectiveness of the anti-TNFa antibody preparation on rheumatoid arthritis conveniently and with high reliability and can also predict the activity of rheumatoid arthritis after the administration of the preparation, and which the development of unnecessary adverse side effects can be prevented by administering the preparation to clinical cases on which the preparation takes effect assuredly.  Also disclosed is a pharmacological efficacy prediction apparatus. The method for predicting the pharmacological efficacy of an anti-TNFa antibody preparation on rheumatoid arthritis comprises the following steps: measuring the content of ADAMTS5 in a sample derived from a subject; and determining whether or not the anti-TNFa antibody preparation is effective on rheumatoid arthritis by employing the content of ADAMTS5 as a measure.
