摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of continuing steering assistant control even if a motor rotation angle detection system such as a resolver is failed, and capable of preventing or suppressing possibility that vibration of a steering wheel is generated even when a rotation direction of an electric motor is reversed relative to a steering torque direction.

SOLUTION: The electric power steering device determines a relative angle amount required for position detection of the electric motor and a relative angle integration direction in which the electric motor is to be rotated as relative angle information becoming substitution based on the information of a code relationship of an inter-wire counter electromotive voltage of the electric motor.
