<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of an AC motor which can attain torque control and speed control of a motor by improving a speed estimator itself thereby estimating the position and speed stably even in a region where the drive frequency of the motor is low including zero, and to provide a control method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The controller of the AC motor includes a stator frequency operation unit (12) which operates the stator frequency of motor flux, a torque error operation unit (13) which operates the torque error by using the motor flux, estimation current and motor current, and a speed estimator (14) which estimates the speed by using the stator frequency and the torque error, wherein the speed estimator (14) is equipped with an output from a proportional controller (23) constituted to bring the torque error to zero and an adaptive filter (24) which removes a high-frequency component of the torque error. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
