PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread cutting tool (1) comprising a shaft (2) and a cutting section (3) to cut internal thread. SOLUTION: The thread cutting tool (1) comprises the shaft (2), and the cutting section (3) composed of cutting teeth (5) arranged in axially parallel or spiral shape, and some grooves (6) for chips between the cutting teeth. The thread cutting tool is considerably reduced in wear and tear and provided with remarkably longer durability than conventional thread cutting tools. The cutting edges of the cutting teeth thereby suffer less damage and particularly less breakage even after the long-term use of the thread cutting tool.
