PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route specifying device that can specify any of each route connecting a certain point and other points (e.g., arrival/departure points) to easily reduce those right and left turning points without any nearby landmark included in the specified route as much as possible. SOLUTION: This route specifying device is to specify any of each route for proceeding from the first point towards the second point. It detects right and left turning points for the reference route, that is, any one of the above previously-computed routes, while determining for the presence of specific landmark within predefined range from the above detected right and left turning points, and then uses this determination result to achieve the above routing.
