PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of managing the refilling of an ink container. SOLUTION: The liquid container attachable to a liquid jet apparatus includes a container body which stores a liquid and a memory device. The memory device has a first memory region which stores first liquid information for specifying the residual amount of the liquid stored in the container body, a demand receiving part which receives a rewriting demand of rewriting a first liquid residual amount, and an authenticating part which authenticates the rewriting demand when the residual amount of the liquid specified from the first liquid information after rewriting is larger than the residual amount of the liquid specified from the first liquid information before rewriting in the rewriting demand of the first liquid residual amount.
