<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel composition which has transparency when analyzed, and can suppress shrinkage of the gel as a whole and simultaneously improve the diffusibility of an analyte; and to provide a microarray using the gel composition. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The gel composition includes a base gel 10 having a network structure obtained by copolymerizing an acrylamide monomer with a crosslinking agent, and a thermosensitive polymer 14 one terminal of which is covalently bonded to the base gel 10.
