<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image signal processing apparatus, an imaging apparatus, an image signal processing method and a program, which permit the improvement of signal correction and resolution of a defective pixel, further, which is excellent in color reproductivity. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An interpolation processing unit 141 carries out interpolating processing of respective first color detecting signal, second color detecting signal and a third color detecting signal employing a detecting signal CDT4 for color interpolation, a first color detecting signal CDT1, a second color detecting signal CDT2 and a third color detecting signal CDT3 to produce a plurality of signals X1, X2, Y1, Y2, Z1, Z2 with respect to respective color detecting signals while a composition processing unit 142 synthesizes the plurality of output signals outputted from the interpolation processing unit to produce a first color signal CX, a second color signal CY and a third color signal CZ whereby the defective of picture element is compensated and signal strength of double precision can be obtained.
