<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autoanalyzer capable of avoiding the occurrence of a biological disaster at the time of discarding a container such as a cuvet or the like to a predetermined discarding position by a user, and a transfer unit. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cuvet discarding unit 240 of the autoanalyzer 1 is constituted so as to suck the waste solution LC in the cuvet 351 from the waste solution sucking nozzle 246-1 provided to a cuvet holding part 243 for holding the cuvet C when it is transferred to the predetermined cuvet discarding position 244 to separate the cuvet C and the waste solution LC. Since a reaction solution sucking nozzle 276-1 is protruded from the region under the fitting part 273-1a of a cuvet holding part 273, the leading end part 276-1a is inserted in the cuvet 351 when it is fitted to the fitting part 273-1a and the reaction solution 351b in the cuvet 351 is discharged.
