<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in performing grill cooking after preheating, that a cooking time can not be shortened as it takes a long time to reach a maximum temperature as temperatures of a tubular heater 6 and a pan receiving table 3 immediately after the start of heating are low, thus a back face of food can not be sufficiently heated. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This heating cooker includes a heating means 17 for heating a heating chamber 14 and a heat storage plate 12, and two temperature detectors 18, 19 detecting a temperature of the heat storage plate 12 and a temperature of the heating chamber 14, and the heating means 17 is controlled on the basis of the temperatures, thus a heated body 11 charged into the heating chamber 14 after the completion of preheating can reach the maximum heating temperature in a short time, the back face can be also properly browned, and heating cooking of short time can be performed.
