<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation method by which a high definition and high flatness image pattern is formed on a base material to be printed, an image formation device for enforcing the image formation method, and an image pattern manufactured by the image formation method. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image formation method includes: a step of forming an ink layer 20 on a main surface 10a of a substrate 10; a step of making a substrate 10 and a transfer blanket 30 having a transfer surface 30a, on which an ink liquid repellant section 32 with repelling property to ink and an ink liquid affinity section 34 with affinity to ink are patterned, contact with each other via the ink layer 20, and pressing them; and a step of making the transfer blanket 30 and the substrate 10 estrange, thereby making the ink which has contacted with the ink liquid affinity section 34 transfer to the transfer blanket 30 from the substrate 10.
