The tensioning mechanism has housing with two housing units (5,7,9) and an electric power supply for operating a watercraft (1). The housing units define a center axis, particularly a rotational axis. A quick-action tensioner (49) produces tensioning forces between the housing units. The forces are transmitted in a particularly coaxial or parallel manner relative to the center axis. The quick-action tensioner has an eccentric actuation lever (47) supported on a housing unit. A driver (61) is connected to the eccentric actuation lever, where the driver is engaged with the other housing unit. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) an electric power supply for, particularly watercraft; and (2) a watercraft, particularly for driving, particularly propelled drive.
