The method involves determining an actual value of intermediate circuit voltage of an intermediate voltage circuit-converter with respect to a reference point. Verification is made whether the determined actual value exceeds a predetermined threshold value. A pulse frequency of a clocked input (6) is changed to a predetermined frequency, if the actual value exceeds the threshold value. A preset frequency value is selected based on a difference value between the actual value and the intermediate circuit voltage. An independent claim is also included for a device for limiting system vibration in an intermediate voltage circuit-converter.
