PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly select an image unnecessary to a user, wherein a photographic subject to be closely watched is blurred. SOLUTION: A movie creation application 20 of a PC 100 supplies a plurality of material images stored in a storage part 8 to a face recognition engine 120 and a characteristic recognition engine 130, acquires metadata related to a face region and a characteristic region included in each material image, optimizes sizes of each face region and characteristic region, thereafter supplies them to the characteristic recognition engine 130, acquires region blurring indexes of each face region and characteristic region, performs weighting averaging proportional to region areas or the like of the region blurring indexes of the plurality of regions inside one material image to calculate one image blurring index to the one material image, selects only the material image having the image blurring index not less than a threshold value of the plurality of material images as the blurred image, and displays it.
