PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant temperature oscillator for which a surface mounted vibrator is applied, a heating resistor and a power transistor are heat sources and heat transmission efficiency is improved. SOLUTION: The constant temperature crystal oscillator includes: a crystal vibrator 1 for surface mounting, for which a crystal piece is housed and tightly enclosed in a container body having a bottom wall layer, provided with two crystal terminals 12a and a dummy terminal 12b; and a circuit board 5 for disposing an oscillation output circuit having an oscillation stage and a buffer stage, a temperature control circuit for fixing the operating temperature of the crystal vibrator, and the circuit element 4. The temperature control circuit includes the heating resistor 4h, the power transistor 4Tr for supplying power to the heating resistor, and a temperature sensitive element 4th for detecting the operating temperature of the crystal vibrator. The dummy terminal of the crystal vibrator is connected to a circuit terminal 14b for dummy on the circuit board, and the circuit terminal for the dummy is connected to a conductive path on the circuit board connecting the heating resistor and the power transistor.
