<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain pipe cover for a down pipe that can hold a drain pipe without looseness between the drain pipe and the drain pipe cover for a down pipe. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The drain pipe cover 10 comprises a cylindrical part 11 and a cover part 12. A lower end 13a of the down pipe 13 is inserted in the upper end 11a of the cylindrical part 11, and the lower end 11d of the cylindrical part 11 is inserted in the drain pipe 14. The cover part 12 is formed with a top face part 12a of doughnut circle shape, and a side face part 12c is formed at the outer peripheral edge 12b of the top face part 12a. Five sets of protrusions 16 are formed in cylindrical shape with a diameter Q of 3 mm on the back face of the top face part 12a of the cover part 12 so as not to cause looseness between the drain pipe 14 and the drain pipe cover 10. The protrusion 16 is formed in regular pentagon shape with an angle α of 72° on the circumference concentric with the center P of the top face part 12a and provided along the outer side face 14b of the drain pipe 14.
