<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device of cleaning a sieve, which prevent completely a scattering of particulates in cleaning the sieve, and allow the particulates not to remain in a chassis after cleaning. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method and device of cleaning the sieve comprises a sieve mounting process of moving the sieve S and mounting on a shell base 37 of a sieve-encapsulating means, a sieve-encapsulating process of covering the sieve S mounted on the shell base 37 with a shell upper cover 47 of the sieve-encapsulating means to encapsulate a network Sb of the sieve S, a cleaning process of slidingly contacting a brush 41 to a rear face of the network Sb of the sieve S as carrying out a suction of an encapsulating space to remove and suction the granulates remaining in the network Sb and of cleaning, a sieve-disengaging process of opening the shell upper cover 47 to disengage the cleaned sieve S, and a sieve-detaching process of detaching the disengaged sieve S from the shell base 37.
