PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system having high expandability which does not deteriorate the limit performance of a system after load distribution in the load distribution among storage subsystems. SOLUTION: In a load distribution method in a computer system including a first storage subsystem, a host computer and a management computer, the first storage subsystem creates a plurality of first logical units from the storage area of a disk drive group; the host computer creates a logical storage area comprising virtual logical units corresponding to the plurality of first logical units; and a communication path is set between each of the plurality of first logical units composing the logical storage area and the host computer. The load distribution method includes: a step in which the first storage subsystem monitors the load on the first storage subsystem; and a step in which the first storage subsystem changes the communication path between the first logical units and the host computer on the basis of a result of monitoring the load.
