PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse wave measuring instrument capable of determining a singular value accompanying the arrhythmia of a pulse waveform for every beat, thereby recording the pulse waveform only in a correctly detected pulse wave interval. SOLUTION: The instrument includes: a pulse wave detection means which detects the pulse wave of a person to be tested; a pulse wave amplitude detection means which detects the amplitude of the pulse wave detected by the pulse wave detection means; a pulse wave interval detection means which detects the interval of the pulse wave detected by the pulse wave detection means; and a determination part which compares the product of the pulse wave amplitude and the pulse wave interval or the ratio of the pulse wave amplitude to the pulse wave interval with respectively set thresholds to determine the singular value of the pulse wave interval.
