<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane electrode assembly (MEA) which can acquire unique information even when the MEA is recovered alone and having a unique information part free from deterioration even in long use. <P>SOLUTION: The membrane electrode assembly includes a polymer electrolyte membrane, a pair of catalyst electrodes comprising a fuel electrode and an air electrode interposing the polymer electrolyte membrane between them, a frame part housing the polymer electrolyte membrane and the pair of catalyst electrodes and having a coolant inlet manifold, and the unique information part, the unique information of the membrane electrode assembly is stored in the unique information part, and the unique information part is arranged in the frame part in the vicinity of the coolant inlet manifold and between the coolant medium inlet manifold and the edge of the frame part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
