<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrode capable of uniformly applying a coating solution to a sheet having projections on the surface. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the electrode with an electrode manufacturing device 100 includes an inclining process inclining projections 4a in the opposite direction to the described direction of a current collecting sheet 2A by pressing the surface of the current collecting sheet 2A having projections 4a extending from the surface conveyed in the prescribed direction to the outside, and a coating process applying a coating solution 3A to the current collecting sheet 2A conveyed in the prescribed direction with a slit die 12. After the projections 4a on the surface of the sheet are inclined in the opposite direction to the conveying direction by pressing the surface of the current collecting sheet 2A, the coating solution 3A is applied to the surface.
