<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club which efficiently performs the backward transmission or distribution of an impact and a load to act on a face part and the enlargement of a range to improve repulsion, and where the strength and durability of a club head are improved and also stabilization and weight saving are attained. <P>SOLUTION: The golf club includes: the face part 12 where the ball hit surface of the golf ball is formed on the front surface; a crown part 16; a sole part 18; toe-side and heel-side parts 20, 22; and a metallic club head which forms an outer shell with the back part 24 in the rear part and has a hollow structure where an internal space N is formed in the outer shell. A rib 34 reaching the lower part of the face part is formed on the rear surface of the face part 12. A thick wall part 50 thicker than the circumferential part is formed in the front part of the sole part 18. Ribs 36a, 36b protruding from the inner surface of the sole part 18 toward the internal space N are successively arranged at the lower end of the rib 34 which is formed on the rear surface of the face part, directly or via the thick wall part 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
