<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase-change microcapsule of a phase-change substance encapsulated in a truncated natural microtubule, and a method for preparing the same. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the microcapsule of the phase-change substance encapsulated in the microtubule and the method for preparing the same. The microcapsule of the phase-change substance comprises the phase-change substance, the truncated microtubule and a polymer. The truncated microtubule is formed by cutting a hollow natural fiber into a fiber segment having a length of 0.1 mm-5 cm. The hollow natural fiber has a diameter in a range of 0.1-1,000 μm. The phase-change substance is encapsulated in the truncated microtubule, and the truncated microtubule is coated with the polymer. The microtubule has a high energy storage density due to a high void content, can stably transport energy due to a closed structure, can rapidly transport heat due to a very fine microtubule structure, and can be used for a long time in view of heat and chemical stability. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
