<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adjust output voltage and output current by changing a connecting condition of cells in a battery pack. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Conditions where a plurality of cells or a plurality of battery modules are connected as a series circuit and conditions where arbitrary numbers of the cells or arbitrary numbers of the battery modules are separated from the series circuit and the remainder is connected in series are set up by controlling a plurality of switching circuits. The switching circuit is controlled by a management device. The arbitrary cells or the arbitrary battery modules are separated from a series state in order to change output voltage of the battery pack, and voltage corresponding to the number of remained cells or remained battery modules stayed at a series state can be output.
