PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently clean a nozzle surface, regarding a liquid jetting device using ink the solute components of which are easily depositable/adherable. SOLUTION: The deposited object sticking to the nozzle surface 4 having nozzles 5 for jetting the liquid is removed by wiping the nozzle surface 4 by a wiping mechanism 3. Prior to the wiping operation, a sealed cavity is formed by covering the nozzle surface 4 by a capping mechanism 2. Humidity and temperature controlled atmospheric air is guided from a temperature and humidity controlled atmospheric air supply device 7 into the sealed cavity through an atmospheric air inlet 8 so as to generate dew condensation on the nozzle surface 4. In the state where the deposited object gets wet and swell with the dew condensation, the nozzle surface 4 is wiped by the wiping mechanism 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
