<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device of backward winding method that provides sufficient input heat quantity in a backward winding section and does not cause a fixing failure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fixing device includes a contact section 9 that is connected to a melting gripping section 8 by a backward winding member 10 and where a recording body 4 having passed the melting gripping section 8 comes into contact with a heated heating/fixing roller 1.
