<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic document conveying device can prevent skew of a document caused by imbalance of conveyance forces to a direction orthogonal to the document conveying direction, and to provide an image forming device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The automatic document conveying device includes: a turn part D curved to change the document conveying direction by approximately 180 degrees; an outside guide member 262 arranged outside the curvature of the turn part D to guide conveyance of the document inside the turn part D; an inside guide member 252 arranged inside the curvature of the turn part D; intermediate rollers 14 for conveying the document into the turn part D; and a read entrance roller 16 for taking the document out of the turn part D. A notch 253 is provided at a position of the inside guide member 252, between the intermediate rollers 14 and the read entrance roller 16, farther than the farthest intermediate roller 14 from a document placing reference member 251 in a direction orthogonal to the document conveying direction.
