PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply recovering and maintaining an effect of a wax on a floor treated with a wax. SOLUTION: The method for treating the floor treated with the wax comprises: applying a composition containing (a) a surfactant, (b) a wax, (c) an acrylic resin, (d) a silicone, (e) a specific glycolic solvent represented by formula (e1): RO-(AO)<SB>n</SB>H (e1), and (f) ethanol in respective specific ratios, and having a pH at 25°C of 6 to 8, to a fouled floor after treated with a wax; and wiping out the composition without substantially removing the wax from the floor to recover the wax effect.
