PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal metal fitting and a connection structure between an electric wire and the terminal metal fitting wherein reduction of contact resistance between a core wire and the terminal metal fitting is achieved. SOLUTION: In the connection structure of an aluminum electric wire 10 formed by covering an insulating coating 13 on the core wire 11, and the terminal metal fitting 20 having the counterpart connection part 21 connected to the counterpart device, the core wire 11 is exposed at the tip of the aluminum wire 10, a tab part 14 is formed at the tip of the exposed core wire 11. At the terminal metal fitting 20, a base part 32 formed by integrally extending from the counterpart connection part 21, a core-wire pressing part 34 which is integrally formed at this base part 32 and opposed to the base part 32 by having a gap B capable of inserting the tab part 14, a contact protruding part 38 which is protruded and formed at the base part 32 toward the core-wire pressing part 34 and opposed between the core-wire pressing part 34 with a narrower spacing d than thickness dimension of the tab part 14 of the aluminum electric wire 10, and an insulation barrel 26 which is integrally formed at the base part 32 and fixes the aluminum electric wire 10 by holding the insulating coating 13, are formed.
