<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core mouthpiece detection device that detects whether or not the mouthpiece is loaded on the prescribed position of the expander equipment that loads the mouthpiece in the core, in order to avoid the situation such that the mouthpiece is not loaded in the core. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The core mouthpiece detection device includes a receptive area 4a formed on the back surface of the receptive flange 4, which forcibly presses a mouthpiece 1 at the loading part 2 of the mouthpiece 1 of the expander equipment, and the receptive area 4a is equipped with a reflection type photoelectric mouthpiece detection sensor 5. At the bottom of receptive area 4a, a detection hole 4b is formed, the detection hole being penetrated through a receptive surface side of the receptive flange 4, and the mouthpiece detection sensor 5 detects the existence of the mouthpiece 1 on the receptive surface side.
