The present invention relates to a method and system for performing an endoscopic procedure to place a balloon in a body cavity. The method and system uses a balloon housed in a transparent sleeve located at a distal end of an endoscope. This transparent sleeve and visualization means located proximate to the distal end of the endoscope together enable the accurate deployment of the balloon within a body cavity while viewing the interior of the body cavity via the endoscope and transparent sleeve.
