CENTERING DEVICE AND CENTERING METHOD

Provided are a centering device simplified as a whole and capable of stably centering a work and a centering method. The eccentric amount of a work (W) rotated by means of a rotary table (1) is detected.  A centering operation for correcting the eccentric amount is performed by applying an impact force to the work (W) by a hammer means (25).  The centering operation is repeated until the eccentric amount reaches a preset convergence target value.
