[Also in Divisions E2 and H2] A holder 10 for a tubular lamp is retained in a recess 23 in a batten 20 by projections 12 to 16 on the holder arranged such that the projections 14 and 15 snap into engagement with resilient flanged portions 24 and 25 formed on the upper surface of the top panel of the batten. The projections 12 and 13 engage the lower surface of the top panel, and the upper face 16a of the projection 16 engages a downwardly pressed portion 26 on the lower surface of the top panel to prevent rocking of the lampholder. The holder and/or the batten may be made from either metal or a synthetic material. The same type of lamp holder may be used with battens of different cross-section, and several lamp holders may be provided at each end of the batten. |
