In a folding sliding accordion type door each slat consists of a flat hollow profile of extruded rigid P.V.C. including a pair of partitions 16a 16b interconnecting opposite face walls, and having at its upper end a runner e.g. of nylon, comprising a stirrup 34 of P.V.C. having resilient branches each with a tooth 34b which snap fits into an aperture 32 in the adjacent partition 16a or 16b and also having a cylindrical neck 35 coaxial with the turning axis X of the slat and integral with the hemi-spherical head adapted to run on the inturned opposed flanges of an inverted channel shaped track member of P.V.C. The slats are interconnected as described and claimed in Specifications 927,590 and 1,069,966. The leading slat may be extruded with a pair of wings one on each face to provide hand grips, and has at its upper end, a trolley of nylon comprising a stirrup similar to and mounted in the same manner as the stirrup 34, and carrying a wheel bearing body for the trolley wheels and depending blocks which fill the space between the faces of the slat and function no coupling dogs between the slat and body of the trolley so maintain the trolley and slat in coplanar relationship. The door posts are of rigid P.V.C., the one receiving the edge of the leading slat having a corresponding concave curvature to the convex edge of the slat. |
