<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory card connector, capable of automatically moving a write protect switch to a write-protected position for preventing data loss by wrong operation, without fail. <P>SOLUTION: The memory card connector 101, as a memory card connector to which a memory card 104 having a write protect switch 105 can be inserted, has a contact part 111b for regulating movement to the insertion direction in the memory card connector of the write protect switch, in association with insertion of the memory card.
