<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prismatic secondary battery for actualizing the modularization of a given number of batteries easily connected to one another without messing up their polarities. <P>SOLUTION: The prismatic secondary battery 12 includes a positive electrode terminal 18 and a negative electrode terminal 19 consisting of terminal plates 20A, 20B electrically connected to a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate, and insulating members 21A, 21B electrically insulating the terminal plates 20A, 20B from a sealing plate 17, respectively.
