PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To greatly lessen a burden on a user in the setting and adjustment of the operation of a press machine. SOLUTION: An input device 33 operable by a man is provided for setting the operating speed for determining the operation pattern of a slide 9 at each point of time in one press cycle. The input device 33 can be operated by the man so as to optionally select either the speed of rotational motion by a drive motor 7 or the speed of vertical motion of the slide 9, and be able to set the selected rotational motion speed or vertical motion speed as the operating speed at the corresponding point of time.
