PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide forceps allowing an operator to easily bend the distal end, to open/close forceps pieces and to rotate the forceps pieces within a bending axis easily by one hand with little wobbling in the rotation within the bending axis. SOLUTION: The forceps includes tabs openable/closable by a link mechanism; a connection part which has a bending part bendable in one direction to the distal end where the tabs are connected and which is rotatable within the bending axis; and a control part attached to the rear end of the connection part. The connection part includes an outer pipe with a bending part, a center shaft and a traction wire with bending part disposed on the inner side of the outer pipe. The distal end of the outer pipe is pivotally supported to an open/close fulcrum of the pair of forceps pieces, and the rear end of the outer pipe is connected to a dial disposed in the control part. The distal end of the center shaft is pivotally attached to the link proximal end of the pair of forceps pieces, and the rear end of the center shaft is connected to a lever disposed in the control part.
