PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device, a document reading device, and an image forming apparatus, suppressing generation of abnormal noise. SOLUTION: The document conveyance device 310 includes: a conveyor roller 314 conveying a document; a separation member 410 abutting on a conveyance roller 314 to separate paper sheets between the separation member and the conveyance roller 314; and a support member 412 supporting the separation member 410. The separation member 410 is fixed to the support member 412 upstream in the document conveyance direction, and is supported in downstream extendably/contractably in the paper conveyance direction. The document conveyance device 310 further has a restriction member 414 restricting movement of the separation member 410 in the direction away from the support member 412.
