<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the peripheral member of a base pipe from having a high temperature with heat from the base pipe projected from a muffler body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A muffler device of a traveling vehicle is provided with the muffler body connected to an engine in a hood surrounding the engine, and a muffler pipe connected to the muffler body. The muffler pipe has the base pipe projected from the muffler body in the hood, and an exhaust pipe connected to the base pipe and projected from the lower to the upper of the outside hood. In the muffler device, a heat insulating material insulating not to transmit heat from the base pipe of the muffler pipe to the peripheral member is provided in the hood.
