PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein it is desirable to perfectly manage the number of prizes without any erroneous count of the number of special prizes, even one, in a prize putout machine having a prize counting function. SOLUTION: For example, a lane L5 is cut off out of lanes L1-L5 of this prize putout machine and, when it is restored to its original state, a counter 12 counts the number of prizes of the lane L5 after the restoration in actuals. The number of prizes of the lane L5 before the cutoff is compared with the count number obtained by counting in actuals after the restoration.
