PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer unit for press molding which permits cost reduction relating to initial cost and running cost by improving a transfer part. SOLUTION: The transfer unit is interposed between a pair of press parts 2u, 2d in a press molding device M and, thereby, performs a transfer from transfer parts 3u, 3d to a sheet S to be pressed loaded between a pair of press surface parts Fu, Fd, wherein the press surface parts Fu, Fd comprise body surface parts Fum, Fdm and transfer sheet parts Fus, Fds having the transfer parts 3u, 3d, the transfer sheet parts Fus, Fds are stacked on the body surface parts Fum, Fdm, and edge parts of the transfer sheet parts Fus, Fds are pushed and fixed by a plurality of retention plate parts 5s which have a thickness corresponding to the thickness of the sheet S to be pressed and have a prescribed protrusion length Ls inward in the surface direction from edge side parts of the transfer sheet parts Fus, Fds.
