<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact device by improving utilization efficiency of a memory. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When an error detection part 32 for detecting an error of a carrier used in demodulating an OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) signal executes a tracking operation for detecting only a phase error of the carrier after initial pull-in that detects both the phase error and a frequency error of the carrier, a sharing control part 41 releases a storage region of a memory 40 necessary for the initial pull-in, but unnecessary for tracking, for another process (for instance, a channel estimation process executed in an equalization part 39) that is not executed simultaneously with the process of the initial pull-in, and allows the storage region of the memory 40 to be shared by the tracking operation and the other process.
