The adapter (16) has an adapter part that is fastened to a rear side (10) of letter box front (12) or communication board (14). A loud speaker is fastened at another adapter part, and the adapter parts are connected with each other by locking devices. The adapter parts are identical. One of the adapter parts comprises an adhesive agent at a face turned towards at the rear side of the letter box front and communication board. Another adapter part comprises a fastening device (20) e.g. spring elastic clip (22), for the loud speaker.
