<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable tracking even feature points positioned in an ineffective image area at image ends generated by means of a filter arithmetic operation, when detecting corresponding points where features match with one another among images. <P>SOLUTION: With regard to a feature point positioned in an effective image area among feature points extracted from a reference image (image 1), a feature point tracking unit 18 detects corresponding points, by tracking (first tracking) feature points on a tracking image (image 2), similar to a conventional manner. An image deformation parameter calculation unit 20 calculates image deformation parameters to match the reference image with the tracking image according to the detected corresponding point, and an image deformation unit 22 creates a deformation image (image 3) in which the tracking image is deformed with the image deformation parameter. Regarding a feature point positioned in an ineffective image area created at the image end of the reference image through filter processing, the tracking unit 18 detects a corresponding point by tracking (second tracking) the feature point positioned in the ineffective image area, by using the reference image and deformation image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
