PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute the attaching/detaching work of a tool holder with excellent workability. SOLUTION: A connection unit 11 of a tool holder attaching/detaching tool 10 is connected to a chuck 2, and the tool holder 40 is held with the holding unit 12 of the tool holder attaching/detaching tool 10 in a posture that a shank 45 is directed to a turret 3 side. After the center positions of a socket hole 5 and a shank 45 are aligned through the rotation of the chuck 2 and/or the horizontal movement of a turret 3, the turret 3 is moved to the tool holder 40 side, and the shank 45 is inserted in the socket hole 5.
